Inclusion Strategies for Allies & Champions

March 6th 5:30-7:30pm
Registration here
The success of women of color at work, is only possible with the support of allies, advocates, and champions. White women and men across all sectors have a huge influence in shaping policies, practices, and culture, and have a responsibility to be accountable for racial privilege and its impact. Power with not power over requires us to know our power, to be powerful and to use our gatekeeping status for liberation.

Be prepared to experience tension in a safe space as we surface issues at the intersection of power, privilege, and race, and how they create workplace culture that makes it difficult for women of career to ascend in their career. This workshop offers an opportunity explore best practices solutions and learn from a community of peers, guided by a local D&I leaders - Fleur Larsen.

You will begin with establishing a shared fluency of key terms such as power, privilege, sexisum and patriarchy.

The session will focus on the following:
- Strengthening your understanding of racial equity
- Being powerful and using your status for the advancement of underestimated groups
- Ground your personal power and share power gracefully to create inclusion
- Being empowered to take action that align with your values

*Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Future for Us programming is for all women of color, and we do not want to discourage attendance due to an event fee. Please email if you need financial support to attend this event.
