Edgar is a globally-recognized expert in progressive philanthropic strategy. Edgar has managed several multi-million dollar portfolios and has held leadership positions in various philanthropic organizations, including the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust in Winston-Salem, NC, the Marguerite Casey Foundation in Seattle, WA and the Schott Foundation for Public Education in New York City. In addition, Edgar is faculty at the Grantmaking School at the Johnson Center at Grand Valley State University, and serves at the Chair of the Board of Directors for Native Americans in Philanthropy. Edgar is a regular contributor to various media outlets and is author of Decolonizing Wealth - a book focused on equitable leadership within the philanthropic and financial sectors.

Aparna Rae of Moving Beyond

Moving Beyond was started in 2018 by Aparna Rae and Jane Reisman. They began as a response to the challenge in the ecosystem of operationalizing DEI in and throughout the core work of organizations. They are a collective of practitioners spanning a range of expertise—including strategic planning, evaluation and measurement, training, facilitation, coaching, and building dynamic learning systems.  Moving Beyond incorporates these diverse talents and strengths to push each other and their clients in achieving their goals.
