Edgar is a globally-recognized expert in progressive philanthropic strategy. Edgar has managed several multi-million dollar portfolios and has held leadership positions in various philanthropic organizations, including the Kate B. Reynolds Charitable Trust in Winston-Salem, NC, the Marguerite Casey Foundation in Seattle, WA and the Schott Foundation for Public Education in New York City. In addition, Edgar is faculty at the Grantmaking School at the Johnson Center at Grand Valley State University, and serves at the Chair of the Board of Directors for Native Americans in Philanthropy. Edgar is a regular contributor to various media outlets and is author of Decolonizing Wealth - a book focused on equitable leadership within the philanthropic and financial sectors.

Michelle Shireen Muri of The Ethical Rainmaker

Michelle Shireen Muri is the host of The Ethical Rainmaker podcast, a Co-Founder of Community-Centric Fundraising and founder of Freedom Conspiracy, a small consultant collective bringing values-aligned practices to growth opportunities, with and for communities of color and the npos that serve them. 

As a co-founder of Community-Centric Fundraising and in collaboration with her clients, Michelle practices community-centric fundraising principles and helps clients align their practices with their values, multiplying their audiences and funding. 

With 19 years of fundraising experience, she’s most interested in how to help our sectors make change more quickly. Michelle is an avid reader, scuba-diver, salsa dancer and karaoke diva when the moment is right.
